Have you got lots of empty wall space, looking for a stylish way to create an accent in your room? Buying framed prints or paintings can be extremely expensive and can appear bland if the images aren’t personal to you. Display a collection of plates, family photos or vintage postcards. Why not collect some cheap frames from junk or charity shops in different sizes and styles and paint them all the same colour. Use stencils or stickers to create an interesting backdrop to existing images.

Laura Ashley have put together 3 themes for festive dining which look gorgeous, so if you’re thinking of sprucing up your dining table this year, these accessories are guaranteed to look great, and last for many years. They have created some stunning table settings – glasses, table mats, table cloths and runners.
The first is ‘Calm’ with whites and creams set off with metallic trim accessories and mirrored placemats. It’s all very sophisticated and if your anything like me, a bit of a calming atmosphere around the Christmas dinner table will be most welcome!
‘Refined’ has rich luxurious cranberry reds which work really well if you have a more traditional home, and if your dining table is in a darker wood. This candelabra will make a great centre piece for your table set off with red candles.
Here’s something a bit different for Christmas, ‘Jolly’ is bright and cheerful, and would certainly make a fresh change on your home this year. This is one I think that the kids will love and would work really well if you are having a more informal gathering this year.
